How to Make Aam Panna: A Gluten-Free, Low Calorie, and Lactose-Free Drink

Ingredients

Use fresh raw mangoes, mint leaves, cumin powder, black salt, sugar (or a natural sweetener), and water. These ingredients provide a perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness.

Preparation Method

Boil raw mangoes until soft, peel them, and extract the pulp. Blend the pulp with water and add the spices. Adjust the sweetness based on your preference.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled, garnished with fresh mint leaves and ice cubes. You can also dilute further with cold water if you prefer a lighter drink.

Tips and Suggestions on Aam Panna

Use Fresh Raw Mangoes for Authentic Taste

For the best flavor, use fresh, raw mangoes (also called green mangoes) that are tangy and slightly sour. This gives Aam Panna its signature taste.

Add a Pinch of Black Salt for Extra Flavor

Black salt enhances the tangy taste of Aam Panna, adding a delicious layer of flavor to the drink. A pinch goes a long way.

Chill the Drink Before Serving

Refrigerate the Aam Panna for at least an hour before serving to ensure it's refreshingly cold, especially during the hot summer months.

Sweeten with Jaggery for Healthier Option

Instead of refined sugar, sweeten your Aam Panna with jaggery for a more natural, healthier sweetness. It also adds a richer flavor.

Add Mint Leaves for a Fresh Twist

Adding fresh mint leaves not only enhances the aroma but also adds a refreshing twist to your Aam Panna.

Serve with Ice Cubes or as a Slush

If you prefer a colder drink, serve Aam Panna with ice cubes or blend it to make a cool, slushy version of this drink.
