Pearl´s of Basque Region
Originated in the Basque Country in northern Spain. Bintxos or also known as Pintxos are small, bite-sized snacks typically served on top of a slice of bread or skewered with a toothpick. The Basque region is known for its rich culinary traditions and is home to many acclaimed chefs and restaurants.
Why we Love Tapas?
Over time, this dish became a popular way for people to socialize and enjoy a variety of small dishes while having a drink. These small bites are enjoyed as a pre-dinner snack, a light meal, or a social gathering with friends and family featuring ingredients like baguette bread, cured meats, seafood, cheese, vegetables, spreaded sauces and fruits.
Wine Pairing
The dry and citrusy Txakoli pairs well with the dish's salty and briny flavors, while its effervescence cleanses the palate between bites.
Beer Pairing
The tart and fruity sour ale also complements the dish's acidity and adds a layer of complexity to the dish's vinegar-based sauces and toppings.
Pitfalls on Tapas Bintxos
